I'm Jonas, a Norwegian able seaman and skipper based in Oslo, working through Svendsen Maritime. I have sailed and worked on traditional sailing ships, motor yachts, charter boats and RIBs, with hands-on experience in deck operations, engine-room routines, maintenance and boat handling. My background includes industrial mechanic apprenticeship training at Beck Maskin and sea service on vessels including Svanen, Christian Radich, Vega and Legend. I also have skipper experience with Riva charter boats and RIB operations in Flåm. Qualifications: Norwegian Able Seaman certificate, navigational watch rating (STCW II/4), D5L recreational skipper certificate, STCW Basic Safety Training and SRC radio operator certificate. D5L is a Norwegian recreational qualification, not an RYA Yachtmaster or an unrestricted commercial master's licence. Available for paid deck crew, relief work, vessel preparation and maintenance, and skipper assignments where my qualifications meet the vessel, flag and operating requirements. Based in Norway and open to travel for suitable work. Norwegian and English spoken. For deliveries, scope, dates, qualification acceptance and insurance cover must be agreed before I commit. I bring practical mechanical skills, careful preparation and straightforward communication.
