One option on every delivery, and both sides win. The owner only pays for a delivery that is completed: the agreed price is held by Boat Gigs until the boat is handed over. The captain is paid the moment that handover is confirmed, no chasing. Every step gets an invoice. Boat Gigs stays free: this adds nothing to the price.
Owners: delivery guaranteed

How it works

Agree the price
As now: the captain applies with a fee, you chat, you accept. Boat Gigs stays free; this option adds nothing to the price.

The owner pays into holding
Once a captain is accepted, we send the payment details. The agreed amount is held by Boat Gigs, not paid to the captain yet.

The delivery
Departure and arrival handovers, with engine hours, fuel, photos and a PDF for each, as Boat Gigs already does today.

Paid on delivery
Once owner and captain have both confirmed the arrival handover, the money goes to the captain.

Invoices for everything
The captain's invoice to the owner and the payment receipts, generated as the money moves.
Cancelled before departure: the owner is refunded in full. Anything else, we look at the handover records and talk to both of you before any money moves.
Use it on your next delivery
Owners tick “Delivery guaranteed with secure Boat Gigs payments” when they request offers; captains tick “Payments covered by Boat Gigs” when they apply. When a captain is accepted, we send both of you the payment details. A question first, or a delivery already under way? Leave your email.
