Maritime professional with around seven years of commercial seagoing experience, having sailed up to Oceangoing Chief Officer (110,000+ NM), and holder of a Turkish-issued Unlimited Yacht Master licence. I am an Associate Professor with over 20 years of experience in maritime education and have been involved in Yacht Master training since 2009. My professional certification includes GMDSS GOC, advanced STCW qualifications including Advanced Fire Fighting and Medical Care, as well as Bridge Resource Management (BRM) and ECDIS. I am also IIMS-trained in Yacht & Small Craft Marine Surveying and founder of BALYAT Marine Services (balyatmarine.com), providing yacht surveying, delivery, owner training and maritime consultancy. For larger or more demanding deliveries, I can arrange an experienced professional delivery crew. I bring a safety-focused, careful and professional approach to every vessel entrusted to me.
